As you may recall it was precisely on our historical “Damage Plan” (disclosure) day, December 8th (2019), that the original scientific paper discussing the anomalous dimming of Betelgeuse and the possibility of an imminent supernova was published, prompting us to pay close attention to both its literal and symbolic implications here on STR.

Among other things (timely right now) we noted in “Cracking open the Stargate – Part 4” posted back on December 26 that even in Blade Runner – a story set in “November 2019” – there is an allusion to Betelgeuse during the most memorable scene with a reference to the “shoulder of Orion” (Betelgeuse is the right shoulder of Orion).

I’ve seen things, you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I’ve watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost, in time, like tears… in rain. Time… to die.

This character “Roy Batty” was played by actor Rutger Hauer who recently died on July 19, 2019.

Whispers from the other side…

As we speak, Betelgeuse continues its unprecedented dimming to this day. Per spaceweather.com’s latest report (Feb 8), we may get some clarity on the nature of the dimming around February 21st. The situation described is that if Betelgeuse doesn’t stop dimming after that date, scientists will have to take the possibility of Betelgeuse actually going supernova a bit more seriously.

THE CONTINUING MYSTERY OF BETELGEUSE: For months, astronomers have been keeping a wary eye on Betelgeuse, the bright red star in Orion’s shoulder. What’s attracting their attention? All of a sudden, Betelgeuse isn’t bright anymore. Its visible luminosity has “fallen off a cliff”–a sign that the star could be on the verge of going supernova.

“The most recent measurements put the visual magnitude of Betelgeuse at about +1.66, the dimmest its been in our 25 years of photometry,” says Edward Guinan of Villanova University.

Betelgeuse is a highly evolved red supergiant–the type of star that could collapse and explode at any moment. Indeed, the dimming of Betelgeuse could be explained if the star has suddenly contracted to about 92% of its previous radius. But that’s not the only possibility. […]

Answers might be forthcoming on Feb. 21st. Astronomers have long known that Betelgeuse is a variable star. It pulsates with many periods, as shown in this Fourier analysis of Betelgeuse’s light curve:

“This shows a dominant (probable pulsation) period of P = 430 days,” note Guinan and colleague Richard Wasatonic in a recent Astronomical Telegram. Given this result, “the minimum brightness is expected on 21 (+/-7d) February 2020.”

If Betelegeuse starts to bounce back on Feb. 21st, this whole episode might just be a deeper-than-average pulsation, and perhaps the supernova watch can be called off. […]

Stay tuned for updates as Feb. 21st approaches.

What do I think of the possibility?

While an actual supernova would be super exciting and it does seem it could happen, it’s also become very exoteric (i.e. very public/mainstream) and reality usually hates being predictable or likes to keep predictability below a certain threshold when it comes to “big events”. (So that it would take a very multicontextual mind to discern.)

Assuming it has crossed that threshold, it may be time for us to start paying as much or more attention to… Ophiuchus the “Serpent Bearer”. Ophiuchus is after all the “mirror image” of Orion along the ecliptic/zodiac.

For all intents and purposes Ophiuchus is the “shadow Orion“, not unlike how New Zealand is the “shadow Italy”. Probably no coincidence that lately there has been a noticeable spike in “snake” signals around us.

Ophiuchus is a major “Kick” figure as well. So on and so forth.

Long story short, there is a rabbit hole to be entered there through the zodiacal mirror, to be revealed soon. (Per usual you heard it here first.)
