So we get it now: The earthquake was in effect an AGI foreshock.
(To be sure, Integral AI’s AGI claim seems a bit nuanced and not a slam dunk case. But based on its timing and the accompanying event, there is enough reason to suspect this was an important development signaling the dawning of artificial general intelligence.)

So it seems pretty clear. The “damage” looming ahead, at least part of it, will involve artificial (general) intelligence.
