Jaguars in Mesoamerican cultures (more or less interchangeable with panthers):

God L… is one of the major pre-Spanish Maya deities, specifically associated with trade… More specifically, he evinces jaguar traits (particularly the ear)… [G]od L has been interpreted (in terms of the Popol Vuh hero myth) as one of the principal lords of the Underworld, or Xibalba.

So the Nile and the Maya, juxtaposed like the twin hurricanes Marco and Laura.

Is this not a perfect combination for the Ethiopian calendar marking the Mayan “end” date “12/21/2012” on August 27 coinciding with the passing of the “Black Panther” actor Chadwick Boseman (Aug 28)? (Reminder: The Nile’s “Eden tributaries”, the Blue Nile and the Atbara”, rise in Ethiopia.)
