Dan Brown’s Inferno is set primarily in Florence, Italy, a story about the sixth extinction and a new virus called “Inferno” identified with “rebirth” and “salvation”.
Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance or “Rebirth”. It was a period of the phoenix rising out of the oppression of the Church. “Salvation” is the title of a CBS TV series (2017-2018) about an imminent extinction-level event from an asteroid indirectly associated with the 2013 Chelyabinsk (Russia) meteor strike which opened the series in the pilot episode. Inferno (novel) was originally released in May 2013, just a few months after the space rock impact in Russia and the near simultaneous event of the Pope Shift in Rome (Benedict XVI out, Francis in, February-March 2013). Dan Brown is best known for The Da Vinci Code which rattled the Church with its Gnostic “Grail” message, resonating with the spirit of the Renaissance. Leonardo da Vinci lived in Florence. The Da Vinci Code was released in 2003 when Mars came to its closest point to Earth in roughly 60,000 years. Mars was at its closest point since then this summer in 2018. The Pope and the Church are in deep turmoil since August due to child sex abuse scandals. A powerful hurricane named “Florence” is in the Atlantic in September forcing more than million people to evacuate the US east coast. The Church sex abuse scandals this summer directly involved churches in Pennsylvania and Washington on the East Coast.
The Catholic Church and Papacy embody the Age of Pisces which is in its twilight this century, giving way to the next one, the Age of Aquarius. “Florence” embodies the spirit of the next age. The dawning of the Age of Aquarius. Rebirth, the phoenix rising.
“Florence” means “flowering”. The Maya (if I’m not mistaken) called the next age the “Age of Flowers”, corresponding to their age of the “Fifth Sun” (though some say we have been in the Fifth Sun which is ending).
The Mayan Long Count calendar “ended” just 6 years ago, December 21, 2012, the year of the London Olympics where the phoenix dramatically rose up from the Olympic flame at the end of the closing ceremony.
The next Olympics 2 years later took place in Sochi, Russia, where the Olympic Rings were blossoming flowers – or “Florence” – during the opening ceremony, made memorable by a major malfunction preventing one ring/sunflower from opening. The fifth sunflower, the Fifth Sun. The 119th International Olympic Committee selected Sochi to host the 2014 Olympics in Guatemala, home to the Maya civilization.
