One recent volcanic eruption not brought up in “The Kick” was the Taal volcano in the Philippines. It’s actually the latest and still ongoing eruption which may get much worse…

What’s fascinating about this one, as reader Dean points out, is the fact that it’s part of a naturally created concentric circle. As described in its Wikipedia page:
Taal has an island within a lake, that is on an island within a lake, that is on an island within the sea: Vulcan Point Island is within Main Crater Lake, which is on Volcano Island.

That’s a body of water (Crater Lake) within a body of water (Taal Lake) within a body of water (ocean).
“The kick” (the big one – video clip) in Inception is all about waking up from… a dream within a dream within a dream!
