When the World Shifts – 2026

Oh crap. We haven’t been paying enough attention to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction happening right now (~Feb 20). (Hat tip to Frogking for reminding us.) It takes place approximately every 36 years which makes it a very rare occurrence and, as we noted last summer, when it happens… the world shifts.
The previous one (cluster of three occurrences) was in the year 1989…

The world shifted big time:
- Fall of the Berlin Wall (Nov 9, 1989) – Symbolized the collapse of the Iron Curtain and the beginning of German reunification. It marked the end of Soviet dominance in Eastern Europe.
- Revolutions of 1989 in Eastern Europe – Peaceful (and sometimes violent) uprisings in Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Bulgaria, and Romania that ended Communist rule in those countries. The start of the end of the Soviet Union.
- Tiananmen Square Protests (April–June 1989) – Pro-democracy demonstrations in Beijing, violently suppressed by the Chinese government on June 4, leading to hundreds (possibly thousands) of deaths.
- End of Soviet–Afghan War (Feb 1989) – The USSR withdrew troops, signaling a retreat from Cold War proxy wars.
- Malta Summit (Dec 1989) – Meeting between U.S. President George H.W. Bush and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, widely seen as the symbolic end of the Cold War.

Saturn and Neptune came together (only once) in 1917. The world shifted big time.
- Russian Revolution (Mar 8, 1917–Oct 25, 1922) – a series of upheavals that led to the collapse of the Russian monarchy and the rise of a communist government. It began with the February Revolution, which forced Tsar Nicholas II to abdicate, and culminated in the October Revolution, when the Bolsheviks led by Vladimir Lenin seized power and eventually established the Soviet state.
- Revolutions of 1917–1923 (Mar 8, 1917 – Jul 24, 1923) – a wave of political uprisings and civil conflicts across Europe following World War I, driven by war exhaustion, economic crisis, and revolutionary socialist movements. They included events such as the German Revolution of 1918–1919 and the Hungarian Soviet Republic, reshaping governments and borders throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

…has similarly seen:
1) The Russia-Ukraine war (Feb 2014-today) – symbolically perfect as both Saturn and Russia have traditionally been associated with the symbol of the sickle, and both Neptune and Ukraine have been associated with the symbol of the trident. Thus, Russia & Ukraine is Saturn & Neptune, i.e. a Saturn-Neptune conjunction!
2) The rise of a new world order triggered by the second presidency of Donald Trump, most notably through tariffs and generally turning on traditional US allies around the world.
Thus what we saw today, exploding in the news headlines on February 20, exactly coinciding with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction:

And let’s not forget – even Stranger Things 5 literally ended in 1989 via a time jump triggered by a Prince countdown…
…with an allusion to a “great earthquake“…
…which was weird, until you realize 1989 was the year of the Loma Prieta earthquake, a big one, near San Francisco…
…the site of this year’s Super Bowl (Feb 8, 2026), coinciding with the opening of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics (Feb 6-22) which will end on February 22, just a day or two after the peak of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction.
Plus, Stranger Things 5 debuted on November 26, 2025…
…coinciding precisely with the lighting of the Olympic flame.
The same flame that will be ceremoniously extinguished on February 22 (= Saturn-Neptune conjunction).
So that’s where we are in the pattern. We are in the middle of a revolution. The world is shifting right now as we speak.
P.S. Goes without saying that the possible US military action on Iran may also come into play as well.
